QBI's Professor Pankaj Sah will speak on the 'fear, synaptic plasticity and the amygdala' on Wednesday 31 August as part of QBI's regular neuroscience seminar series.

The amygdala is a part of the brain that is involved in emotional processing. A form of Pavlovian conditioning called fear conditioning has been used to study learning and memory formation in the brain and the amygdala plays a key role in this process. In this talk Professor Sah will review how intrinsic circuits in the amygdala contribute to this form of learning.
