Travelling to QBI? Here’s how to find us

How to find us?

The Queensland Brain Institute (QBI) is one of the six research institutes at The University of Queensland. You’ll find us nestled in the leafy surrounds of UQ’s St. Lucia campus, about 10 km from the centre of Brisbane.

If you’re arriving from the Brisbane International Airport or the Brisbane Domestic Airport, the trip to St. Lucia will take you about 40 minutes by car and will cost about AUS $40 by taxi. Alternatively, if your hotel is in the Brisbane CBD or at Southbank, you might like to explore Brisbane’s fast and efficient river ferry system which has a stop at the University of Queensland.

There is also a regular train service that connects both Brisbane airports to Brisbane’s regional railway network. The rail station nearest QBI is Toowong, about 3 km from the UQ campus.
