Lab Work Experience
QBI offers students interested in neuroscience the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience at QBI. This is open to students particularly from science, engineering, mathematics, physics and psychology and information technology backgrounds. Start your journey to become a research scientist by developing a close relationship with the research laboratory, attending laboratory meetings and seminars, and conducting experiments. Academic mentoring is an important aspect of this program.
Work experience aims to give students the opportunity to:
- experience the real world of research by seeing how things get done and how things work
- ask questions about the type of work being undertaken
- find out what jobs are available in neuroscience
- gain relevant work experience and/or research skills that may be helpful in gaining future employment
- align studies with career aspirations
