Travel support is available to PhD and MPhil candidates from QBI and the UQ Graduate School.

Our PhD students use their travel allowance to attend conferences, symposia and participate in academic exchange both internationally and abroad.

GSITA

The UQ Graduate School offers each PhD Candidate up to $5000 upon application to assist with: “non-essential research travel that will enhance the quality and accelerate the progress of their research by giving them access to equipment, expertise, or archives not readily available at the University of Queensland”.

QBI Travel Allowance

QBI offers travel support of up to $3500 to PhD and MPhil students.

The QBI Travel Allowance is available to students who have attained their Mid-Candidature Review (M2) milestone and are to present at a domestic or international conference. The purpose of the travel support is to allow students the opportunity to present their research and to pursue postdoctoral opportunities.
