Travel support is available to our research higher degree students from QBI and the UQ Graduate School.


The UQ Graduate School awards the GSITA to support overseas travel for UQ research students.  The Award value is up to $5000, and there are two GSITA rounds per year. Please refer the UQ Graduate School website for more information about the GSITA and application details.

QBI Travel Allowance

QBI offers travel support of up to $3500 to PhD students.

The QBI Travel Allowance is available to students who have attained their Mid-Candidature Review (M2) milestone and are to present at a domestic or international conference. The purpose of the travel support is to allow students the opportunity to present their research and to pursue postdoctoral opportunities. Contact the QBI Student Office for more information about the Allowance and how to apply:
